SASSY the Dog needs a home
Sassy is a 1.5 year old tan German Sheperd mix that arrived at the shelter on August 14th, 2017, and is currently available for adoption through the Saskatoon SPCA.
Sassy is currently in foster care.
Sassy is a big goofball, but was very timid when arriving at the SPCA. Once Sassy was brought into a home environment, she thrived in a calm space. Although she takes time to warm up to strangers in a new environment, she has made lots of human friends once she''s comfortable.
Sassy is great with other dogs, and her previous owners mentioned that she lived with cats. Her foster parent has suggested that she go to a home without cats given how excited she gets when she sees a rabbit.
Sassy is going to need a home with experienced owners. They will need to be commited to doing positive reinforcement training with Sassy to work on her confidence. She is an absolute sweetheart and with patience and time, will make a great companion. Given her timid nature she is also recommended to go to a home without young children.
Sassy is dewormed, up to date with vaccinations, and is $275.00* to adopt, with the adoption fee including all of the following:
-Microchipping, which is the procedure with which a small, scannable chip is inserted under the animal''s skin, providing an additional form of identification
-The spay/neuter surgery (if the dog entered the shelter unaltered)
-Four weeks of PetPlan pet insurance
-A complimentary veterinary health examination at the local participating clinic of their choice
-Age appropriate vaccinations, up to the point of adoption
-Any medications required prior to adoption
